Usage
The Item is kept in a Class-A Utility Containment Room, composed of a 6mx8m space, with a single access with double reinforced steel doors and a control panel with a Special Lock Padlock that can only be opened by personnel from Gamma Level. The room has two coolers that must have the room at a temperature of 21 degrees or less. A single camera is inside the room monitoring the Article 24 hours a day.
The Item may only be used for experimentation approved by Central Command or any other Cell Commander of Gamma Level or higher.
Report
The Item is a 3D printer that does not differ from other commercial 3D printers for sale to the public. The only aspect that differentiates it is its LCD screen with only the words "Print Weapon" on it and some words engraved on the side of the device that marks it as belonging to the GdI-010: The Factory.
The anomalous quality of the article is achieved when a person adds more than two liters of plastic in the attached tank and it is activated by pressing on the screen1. After approximately 20 to 25 minutes the Item will create an Ignis Element.
An Ignis Element is the general designation for a set of anomalous weapons created by the Item. The external appearance of these weapons seems to be not standardized, each one having a different shape and effect. The material each weapon is made of consists of a strange mix of added plastic, polymer, unknown chemicals, and traces of blood. The weapons are quite resistant to any attempt to break, even if heated to quite high temperatures.
It is unknown how the Item is capable of generating the missing elements necessary for the construction of weapons only using liquid plastic and where it keeps them. Scanning in the article does not show any kind of deposit or space where you can store them. Attempts to enter the display settings have also failed, making it impossible to recreate a previously made weapon or view other models before they are created.
After each use the Item increases its temperature up to 80° degrees of temperature, heating its metal layer, but without showing adverse effects such as burned circuits or a melted cover. Only the ground where it is and its surroundings are affected by the heat emanated. It takes a full week to be able to use it again.
Appendix 1
Below is a list of the weapons created by the Article.
| Element | Appearance | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Ignis-01 | A highly modified Thompson machine gun without a magazine. A series of lights blink when the trigger is held and they go up until they reach the muzzle of the weapon, at which time it fires. | It fires an electrical discharge of approximately 80,000 volts of electricity that creates an explosion with a range of 10 meters. It also creates an electromagnetic pulse that affects all electronic devices within a 1.5 km radius. |
| Ignis-02 | A Mauser 45 Submachine Gun that appears to be chrome plated on pure copper. | When it is fired while aiming at a building, it will cause a structural failure that will end up collapsing the building, despite not firing any kind of projectile. The weapon is believed to cause an atomic disintegration in buildings causing them to be destroyed. No effect occurs if used on living things. |
| Ignis-032 | A highly modified M4 Carbine Rifle. The scope appears to be able to see through concrete and has a second X-ray view. | When the area near the target is shot it creates a destabilizing field that will result in the celular destruction of any living thing in its 25 meter area of effect. |
| Ignis-04 | A weapon shaped like a pistol coated in platinum and tuxten, with a container filled with an unknown liquid. | When fired it will release an unknown powder toxin with a range of more than 5 meters. This will gather in the form of a mist; as it expands, it appears to be able to recognize living beings, homing in on them and prioritizing them as targets. The toxin causes severe bleeding from all orifices of the body. |
| Ignis-05 | An A-T4 Rocket Launcher. It does not present any difference with its non-anomalous analog, except for a series of unknown marks on its sides | When fired, upon detonation, it will explode with the force of 0.5 kilotons. The explosion does not appear to emit radiation, but the shock wave causes an effect on the structures similar to that of Ignis-02. In living beings the effect of the wave seems to liquefy the internal organs in seconds. |
| Ignis-06 | A pistol of unknown design with a large 7cm barrel. On its side it has a knob that is turned counterclockwise. | When shot at a target it will be crushed by a gravitational force of more than 24,000 G. The knob on the side appears to increase the area of effect from 2m to 10.5m. |
| Ignis-07 | It is the only instance that has no known weapon shape. Ignis-07 looks like a gray rectangular gadget with just a button on top and an exit hole at one end. | ████ █████ █████████████ ███ ███████████ ██ █████. After the shot a 7 meter crater is formed. It is believed that the weapon manifests during the flash some kind of memetic effect that erases the memory of those who witnessed the shot except who is holding the weapon. |
Appendix 2
The Item was discovered by the Collection Team that was originally sent to check the status of the Item#19. During an expedition inside a locked door was found without a lock of any kind. The door was eventually forced open and she found the Item inside covered by a blanket. The properties of the article were discovered after it was connected to a power source to find out if it still worked and if it was anomalous in nature.
Research is being carried out to find out what kind of relationship Item#19 and Item#23 have with the GoI of The Factory.
