Usage
So far the anomaly will remain in containment until further notice. Its potential future use will be kept under review indefinitely under the Special Restraining Order2 which will only be lifted by unanimous decision of the Delta Command.
Report
The Item is a female humanoid corpse over the age of twenty (20) preserved for over ████████ (██) years. Genetic testing in the Article concluded that the entity is a genetic hybrid of Homo Sapiens and [DATA EXPUNGED]. The body is in the fetal position and does not move due to rigor mortis. Most of the muscle mass has long deteriorated as a result of atrophy. The Item's body is humanoid in shape, hairless, gray in color, with signs of extreme decomposition. His face has empty eye sockets, a large mouth with no lips or teeth or tongue, stunted arms, long fingers, and an overall gaunt appearance.
Forensic investigation has revealed that the subject was killed by the impact of a 0.3-millimeter projectile directly towards the superciliary arch, completely perforating the skull. MRI scans show that the brain continues to function despite structural damage and loss of gray matter and frontal lobe. The activity in the brain is consistent with extreme depression.
The Item is the remains of an entity that feeds on human memory. When a human is in his presence, within a radius of four (4) meters, all memories that someone has of this person will disappear, this also includes information and documentation of any kind. This effect usually manifests itself and extends depending on the time a person is exposed to the anomaly.
- 1-2 Hours: The memories of the exposed subject disappear from the memory of the people closest to him, usually being his relatives first. In case the subject has no close relatives, the memory of him will disappear from the memory of close friends and co-workers. Eventually the effect encompasses everyone who even knows only the name or has seen the subject's face.
- 3-10 Hours: Information about the subject will disappear in any medium in which it is found including files, digital files, etc3.
- 11-19 Hours: All information that the subject has acquired and archived on their own throughout their lives, regardless of the context, will begin to disappear. This encompasses confidential and highly classified information.
- 24 Hours: It is activated at the highest effect of the anomaly. All creation, construction, discoveries and experiments made by the subject will disappear at this point. This includes all minor and indirect contributions made by the subject throughout his life. The more involved the subject was with the contribution, the more it will encompass the disappearance of the elements in the real world, which will not be activated retroactively, but will manifest instantly on the spot4. The only events that the effect doesn't seem to wear off are those where the subject has killed a person, even if indirectly responsible.
- More than 24 Hours: The subject itself disappears as if it had never existed.
As of ██/██/2021 the Insurgency has found through the use of [DATA EXPUNGED] and cation experimentation evidence that at least ██ Insurgency personnel have been completely wiped from existence by the effect of the Article since its discovery. The use of Distortion Lenses seems to be more than enough to block the anomalous effect for a limited time of twenty (20) minutes.
Appendix: Discovery
The Item was found in an underground base found on the outskirts of Guatemala. She was discovered by members of Task Force "████ ██████" while returning from a mission. During the drive across the desert, their EVE Portable Power Scanners activated as they passed through a low-traffic area. After calling in reinforcements, an investigation team was dispatched and a hidden entrance was discovered consisting of two steel doors four (4) meters long and three (3) meters wide that opened through a hidden panel under a rock almost imperceptible gap.
Through a series of trial and error attempts, Delta Command was finally contacted. The Command, after receiving the descriptions of the entry, delivered a series of access codes [DATA EXPUNGED] belonging to the Foundation. One of these keys opened the doors that led to a grand staircase that decently ran for about fifty (50) meters.
An underground complex was discovered that contained several similarities to facilities used by the Foundation during the 19th century. The interior consists of a cell wing, an office and an entrance room. All rooms show signs of fire and shell damage. A mass grave was found at the opposite end of the facility locked under an iron gate. Inside were corpses dressed in jumpsuits similar to those worn by Foundation D-Class. They all appear to have been shot to the head.
Several archives were found burned and none of the few preserved documentation that was found gave any information on the origins and function of the site beyond the name of the facility designated "Base ADRX-17". A plaque was also discovered above the arrival gate reading "Department of Anomalies"5. The Task Force eventually discovered the Item by searching the Fourth Floor of the cell wing.
Appendix 2: Exploration
A check of the cell wing showed that it contained several deeper levels that could be descended via a hidden spiral staircase. Each of the cells consists of a room 8x10 meters long and wide, with a solid metal door, a small sign with a text and a sliding panel containing a glass bay window that shows the contents of the dimly lit chamber. The control panels were removed and the doors were welded and hermetically sealed. There is no way to open these doors without damaging and collapsing the structure of the facility. Contents: An upright open coffin that appears to have been bound by chains at some point. The chains are now broken and lying on the ground. Fingernail marks can be seen behind the coffin lid.

Sign: Kindred of the Fallen
Contents: A broken and empty dark colored egg. It gives off a distinctive red glow at times and the room always smells of smoke and brimstone. Bright white feathers can be seen on the ground.

Sign: The Little Sister
Content: A rag doll with a burned face sitting on a chair with crayons scattered around her. The room is full of doodles; the name "ANA" is seen on some of these.

Sign: He Who Walks in the Mist
Content: A figure made of gray smoke in the shape of a man standing in the center of the room. The figure seems to dissipate over time.

Sign: Homo Mechanicus
Content: An android made of industrial parts sitting on a bench that doesn't seem to move. His face is destroyed, as well as part of his right arm and his open chest shows a heart made of non-functional clockwork. He wears a lab coat and the badge on it says "Dr. Gears".

Sign: "Mr. Wonderful"
Content: The body of a man lying on the floor. His face cannot be seen due to the position he is in. He wears an extravagant suit of various colors, with confetti all around him. Occasionally a laugh can be heard from the room. An incomplete phrase that reads "Mr. Wonderful of the Litt-" can be seen on his left ankle.

Contents: A hammer and a chisel that are inside a transparent liquid in a glass cubic container. A sign below it reads "DO NOT TOUCH. CREATOR OF WORKS OF ART ABOMINATIONS".

Contents: Six body bags of what appear to be two adults or four children. They all have a card attached with the phrase "BRIGHT".

Content: A hangman's rope hangs from the ceiling and swings like it has something hanging from it. What appear to be several tree leaves are seen scattered on the ground.

Contents: A king's throne made of green wood, vines, leaves and earth. An intense aroma of chlorophyll is felt from this room, which is upholstered by vines.

Content: A white concrete wall that has a crayon drawing of a tall faceless stick man. Various names are seen written in red crayon on the wall as well.

Content: An empty room whose walls and floor are completely covered in metaphysical, thaumaturgical, and occult patterns and glyphs drawn in blood.

Content: All the walls in this room appear to have been torn by the claws of a large animal. An unidentified type of radiation appears to emanate from the cell.

Contents: Item Cell and the only cell that was not sealed. This was in a fetal position on the floor at the foot of the base of a cylindrical structure with a transparent but resistant glass hatch that was broken from the inside by unknown means. Tests on it showed that it was filled with a mixture of a thermal electrical substance and amniotic fluid.
Appendix 3: Documentation
Review of the documentation found showed that the file on the article still remained undamaged. Below is the file found.
Further investigation found a single document that briefly discusses the article albeit in an unknown context.
Update 1
Investigation into the foundations and structural integrity by [DATA EXPUNGED] as well as its location in the desert have shown signs confirming that the area covering the facility for a few kilometers around it are the remnants of what is believed to have been a Reality Reconstruction event of unknown origin. More investigation will be carried out.
Update 2
New information revealed after further investigation into the Item has shown that it was terminated through the use of a Black Item-class anomalous weapon6 with a great similarity with the effect of a Cimmerian Box7 or another kind of anomalous artifact with similar effects. An exhaustive investigation in the article chamber turned up a card found inside the containment cylinder that displayed the logo of the Allied Occult Initiative, the COG's predecessor organization. The card only contained the following:
