Usage
The Article must be used as dictated by Protocol #13: "Final Termination". The selected targets must be Persons of Interest with an Omega threat level. The selected personnel must have reached the specifications of the profile described in Protocol #13. If the latter cannot be carried out due to unexpected circumstances, an individual will be selected from the Insurgent personnel who has successfully passed the Special Persuasion Methods of the Intelligence Department and takes the Pledge of Allegiance to the Haos Doctrine.
Report
The item must be kept in the titanium alloy case and special klevar designed for its protection. The case itself can only be opened by two decoder keys designed specifically for safekeeping, one is in the possession of the Cell Director and the second is in ███████████ ██████. The case is housed in a special blast-proof chamber in the main warehouse, with patrols on 24-hour shifts. A detonator installed in the cover of the case will activate if it is removed from its containment by intruders or enemy organizations.
The Item is a Nagant M1895 revolver of Belgian and Russian manufacture. The revolver shows signs of deterioration due to the passage of time, however it maintains all its functional mechanical parts. The weapon is capable of carrying seven .22 hollow point bullets in its barrel, which remains functional. The weapon has as its only distinguishing mark a star engraved on its side, which marks it as a weapon used by the Russian army in the 1930s. The weapon fires its ammunition without any failure.
The weapon anomaly occurs when the weapon is loaded with regular ammunition and is used on any humanoid with psychic and/or thaumaturgical abilities. When the bullet is shot at the target it is completely immune to psychic, physical, cognitive, subatomic, kinetic or space and time alterations. The fired bullet will continue its course no matter what objects or forces are in its path, whether they are mundane or anomalous in nature. This includes the ability to break through any type of physical or organic barrier. Each bullet placed in the barrel of the weapon and fired by it acquires these properties. The way the weapon does this seems to involve a kind of [DATA EXPUNGED]. Information is necessary to confirm this theory.
Based on research done by the Department of Thaumatology and Hidden Artifacts, the Item is capable of seriously injuring or even killing the following types of humanoids:
- Psychics with a Psionic Resistance Index of more than the known limit.
- Humanoids with abnormal body augmentations.
- Top-level thaumaturges.
- Incorporated entities.
- Beings of pure energy.
- Reality Manipulators from Type I to Type X.
Research shows that fired bullets lose their properties once they hit the target, empty cartridges do not show any abnormality either. Due to the short range that the weapon has, it can only be used in a very close range to the target in turn. Attempts by ShaDES Technology engineers to modify the weapon to give it greater range and accuracy have been unsuccessful due to the fragile state of the weapon.
Appendix
The article was found in Coyoacan, Mexico, during the purchase of weapons in an antique dealer's shop, which was used as a front during transactions. The investigation and interrogation after the discovery of the anomalous properties of the weapon failed to give any kind of clue to its origin. Subsequent information was obtained from the declassified documentation of the GRU Division P that was included in the documentation and anomalies donated as part of the Mutual Benefit Treaty.
The origin of the anomaly in the article is unknown to date, however, thanks to the documents of the Psychiatric Division, some clues of its origins have appeared. The following chronological shows the most relevant events in which the article was involved.
