PROJECT TYPHON

The entities that make up Nepotes Centum, also known as the "Bright Family", do not seem to have a clear origin. Research on his family tree shows no direct relationship to any of the antediluvian families, civilizations, royal houses, or human species. The earliest record of the existence of a member of Nepotes Centum is an Aramaic record from over 2000 years A.D. in which the encounter with PoI-T-001 by a trader crossing the desert of the Near East is recounted, the only thing linking him being the almost perfect description of his appearance and what appears to be a vague testimony of his anomalous ability.

Until then the track disappears until the year 1900 with the appearance of PoI-T-002 whose past only shows the existence of a Jewish family that emigrated to the United States at the beginning of the 19th century from Eastern Europe for reasons not clarified. Beyond this there is no documentation of PoI-T-002's past that is of any use. Whether this was done on purpose by PoI-T-001, PoI-T-002, or the Foundation themselves is unknown. Some even claim that the possible Reality Change Event was the cause of this anomaly, but so far there is no evidence to confirm this theory.

Whatever the case, at this point PoI-T-002 already seemed to have developed the mysterious latent anomaly that contains his family's characteristic genetic signature. Eventually this would begin to spread with PoI-T-002's intimate encounters with other anomalous humanoids, but it would not be until his union with PoI-T-003 that this would have a profound effect on the anomalous community. Nepotes Centum is, by unanimous decision, the most complex anomalous humanoid lineage, encompassing at least 1.8% of the entire anomalous population, including those of distant lineage, indirect or as a result of experimentation or secondary effects of anomalies involving a member of Nepotes Centum.

Alias: Yosef Bin Tamlin/Yoshua Bin Yosef/O5-13

Description: Information about PoI-T-001 is scarce. He is a humanoid who appears to have a number of retro-causal anomalies of time and perception alteration. He was one of the original founders of the Foundation and a friend of the first O5-1. He one of the few humans who can access his will to LoI-009: The Garden¹ and the only one that can access LoI-0██: The House of Tamlin². Throughout human history a person with the same characteristics, but a different name, has appeared although with drastic changes in appearance, race and gender, but the presence of red hair always remains constant.

"Whatever PoI-T-001 is, it looks like it will remain a mystery. However, from his actions it becomes clear that there is not really a "plan" behind the existence of his bloodline, which does not stop him from being a kind of advisor to his current family. His role on the O5 Council is still debatable, as while it is apparent that he does so to watch over and help his relatives within the Foundation, he also shows up at important events involving the Overseers."

Name: Adam Bright

Alias: Sinister Hand/O5-12

Status: Unknown

Interest Level: Gamma

Description: Was part of the original group that created the first iteration of the Foundation and what would eventually become the Department of Anomalies that was active between the 1960s and 1970s. There is evidence that what appears to be a Reality Change Event occurred between these dates causing memories of their existence to disappear but physical and anomalous evidence continues to surface to this day. PoI-T-002's new iteration in this reality appears to have been most active between the 1930s and 1940s working as an investigator and later as an active agent, serving as the O5 Council's exterminator eliminating various anomalous humanoids with AoI-00█ : Revolver of the Firstborn³ and subsequently joining the Council itself as O5-12 in 19██ serving until his retirement in 20██ for personal reasons.

"Considering that O5s often suffer dire consequences shortly after retiring - either forced or of their own will - it's surprising that the other Overseers just let him go, which is saying a lot. This is undoubtedly closely related to the attempt to militarize the [ REDACTED ] during the early days of the Foundation. There is much more to Adam Bright than meets the eye."

Name: Evelyn Navon

Alias: Echidna/Mother of Monsters/Sophia Light/O5-2

Status: Unknown

Interest Level: Omega

Description: She is a humanoid described as a dark-skinned young Muslim woman always dressed in a hijab. She is the wife of Adam Bright, with whom she had █ children. Documentation contradicts certain details to the point that she has been believed to be an alternate version of the current Site-██ Director Sofia Light from another dimension, but this appears to be more of a mix-up in the files. She defected from her position on the O5 Council after being found guilty of murdering another council member for unknown reasons. She fled and avoided capture by constantly joining up with various other GoI such as Prometheus Labs and the Serpent's Hand.

Behind her hijab seems to hide her true form, much more monstrous of her, the result of multiple experiments she performed on herself. She seems to be able to bring different eldritch entities to life through experimentation and an unknown anomalous biological process. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

"First of all, no, she's not the mythological Echidna as far as we know. Evelyn seems to be the creator of the so-called "Assembled Deck", a kind of equivalent of Dr. Wondertainment's "Little Misters" created under the support of Prometheus Laboratories. Almost nothing is known about them other than at some point the Foundation catalog one of these and then decommission it although there is no digital record of this fact. Rumors seem to suggest that one of the many reasons for his desertion had to do with certain documents left behind by the O5-2 predecessor of his: The former leader of the Estate Noir. I don't need to clarify why it is important to make contact with her: Just a biological sample from her will help us a lot in the future."

Name: Michael "Mikell" Bright

Alias: Agent Vivid/Sinister Hand/O5-6

Status: Active

Description: Son of Adam Bright and Evelyn Bright. He is a man described as having long hair in a ponytail always wearing white jean suits with a hat and a white cane with the handle carved in the shape of a wolf's head. Previously one of the most effective assassins of the Foundation, inheriting AoI-00█ from his father since his adolescence with which he assassinated numerous anomalous humanoids, being most active between the years of 1960 and 19██, the year in which he became part of the O5 Council as O5-6. He appears to have given AoI-00█ between 2010 and 2015 to PoI-T-010 by then.

He retired from his post for unknown reasons in 2016 or 2017. However after the events of the Summa Modus Operandi and the death of his successor he is forced to resume his role in 2019.

"Mikell seems to be responsible for putting a stop to his father's initiative to use [REDACTED] though whether he was successful is unknown. Also, there's something I want to point out: Isn't it a bit strange that the only two male members - Mikell and Adam - who weren't born with anomalies are also responsible for spreading their family lineage? Whether this is something made with a "design" is something we don't know. If you just want to get an idea, remember that the rate of probability that a human and a humanoid are compatible for the conception of an anomalous infant is very low."

Name: James "Jack" Bright

Alias: SCP-963

Description: Son of Adam Bright and Evelyn Bright. One of the most important and prominent staff members of the Foundation. Based on the compiled files PoI-T-005 obtained AdI-01█: Philosopher's Stone⁴ by mistake when his brother, PoI-T-004, took him home after finishing a mission. PoI-T-005 came into contact with the stone and gained the anomalous properties for which they are known. Both his brother and his father, PoI-T-002, being aware of the jewel's properties, decided to keep PoI-T-005 close to him to observe him giving him early employment with the Foundation. Years later, as a researcher of this, he had his first death activating the properties of the anomaly. He is currently one of the few humanoids that receives special treatment thanks to the influence of his family.

"Whether or not Jack Bright was anomalous before he got hold of the medallion is still disputed to this day. Many claim that this would not have worked with any human, this taking into account, not only what was discovered by the books stolen from the Wandering Library, but the fact that the original subject (Creator? Discoverer?) who was going to use the medallion (Possibly killed by Mikell) must have been a very powerful Type Blue to access such alchemical knowledge about the jewel's properties. Whether Jack himself is aware of this is unknown."

Name: Thomas "TJ" Bright

Alias: SCP-590

Status: Active

Description: Son of Adam Bright and Evelyn Bright. A humanoid with Anomalous Longevity and Type 2 Psionic-Epathic abilities in the form of a boy between the ages of 12 and 17 with red hair. He is capable of absorbing the damage, injuries, illnesses and diseases of everyone he touches at the cost of suffering it himself, manifesting differently in his body. Although anomalies were used to treat his injuries, the Foundation has purposely exposed him to mental illnesses in order to slow down his elemental quotient in order to better manage him. As with PoI-T-005, he is treated well thanks to the influence of his family, although the circumstances of his confinement are unknown.

"Talking with Commander Three I've begun to notice that the Overseers' unusual effort to erase any trace of the circumstances that led to TJ Bright's lobotomy seems to have more to do with the birth of her daughter (who you'll see below) as well as the identity of the mother, daughter of an unknown O5. This would occur many years after Evelyn's retirement, but of one thing we are certain: The events leading up to this put an end to the Foundation's last attempt to treat all humanoid SCPs more humanely."

Name: Sarah Bright

Alias: SCP-321

Status: Active Unknown

Interest Level: Alpha

Description: Daughter of Adam Bright and Evelyn Bright. A humanoid anomaly approximately over a hundred years old. It was the result of PoI-T-002 attempting to resurrect her stillborn daughter using various dangerous anomalies under unknown circumstances. She is in the form of a very large humanoid that appears to manifest a Level 2 Regeneration which has also caused her to age slowly. Despite this, she demonstrates low intelligence and is unable to communicate verbally. The Foundation has exposed PoI-T-007 to several aggressive modifications in order to counter the damage caused by her overgrowth. PoI-T-007 seems to be the main reason why PoI-T-002 resigned from her as O5-12. As of 2014 it is unknown if she is still in Foundation custody.

"She Who Is Lost appears to be just another unfortunate soul who suffered from her father's selfish actions and the lack of supervision as well as mismanagement by the Foundation, however there is something else as well. Many staff members have noted that she has difficulty reading her name aloud without suffering strange anomalous repercussions, at least of all files of her created after listing her status as Unknown. What this means is something she is still investigating, but wherever she is, it is possible that she has become something else. Possible connection to GOI-012: Triumviraté still to be confirmed"

Name: Claire Bright

Alias: Claire Lumineux I/L.T./Little Sister

Status: Deceased

Interest Level: Omega N/A

Description: Daughter of Adam Bright and Evelyn Bright. Humanoid with the abilities of Level II Psionic Manipulation and Level III Precognition. She seems to have developed these abilities during her childhood, being able to mentally control animals as large as a cattle. She is also able to see future events and change them although not those that are related to someone's death or her own. She was held in 1950 by the Foundation for a time on her father's recommendation but then under unclear circumstances she escaped her custody and joined the Serpent's Hand becoming a Little Sister⁵ and becoming a great magician helping various humanoids to hide and escape from the Foundation and the COG.

She at some point lost her physical form and her body was transferred into that of an African woman. PoI-T-008's capabilities to her full potential are unknown but she was equally respected and feared even by her own siblings. She died in 2015 under unknown circumstances.

"Insurgency reports show that the name Claire Lumineux appears consistently among members of the Serpent's Hand albeit with different titles or variations of it (Claire Lumineux the Second, Claire Lumineux XI, etc.). Whether this is another assignment used by the Serpent's Hand or the existence of another branch of the Bright family is unknown. What is known is that the circumstances of the original Claire's death seem to have been done on purpose, with details emerging over time. I guess we won't have the full picture until the moment she wanted it to be."

Name: David Bright

Alias: David Blindman/The Big Brother/The Rightful Heir/Lord of the Bastards

Status: Active

Interest Level: Gamma

Description: Son of Mikell Bright and an unknown woman. A humanoid with Level II Precognition abilities. He is able to visualize future events by having visual images of these events, especially those involving people who share his family lineage. He believes that he can change events by being able to see every consequence of each action from before and being able to choose which is the most convenient to choose, however he does not seem to be able to see or influence the future of Omega Class anomalous humanoids.

When he began to show evidence of his anomaly, PoI-T-004, with the help of an unknown entity, removed David's eyes in order to neutralize his anomaly, though it seems this only worked for a while. Between 1960 and 70 she escaped with the help of PoI-T-008 and currently helps the Serpent's Hand and various humanoids that are part of the various unclaimed children of the Bright Family. He is always seen with a strange, possibly anomalous dog-like animal.

"David is possibly the only Bright member the Insurgency knows best: His constant attempts to search for his distant relatives have interfered with the Insurgency's recruitment process for anomalous humanoids more than once. Before he was just considered another PoI, but since the discovery of him with the Bright lineage now his importance has increased. Discovering his gait would help find more humanoid members of his family. While trying to stay one step ahead of someone who can see into the future is difficult, it's not necessarily impossible."

Name: Serra Argent Bright

Alias: Agent Argent/Sinister Hand

Status: Active

Interest Level: Gamma

Description: Daughter of TJ Bright and an unknown woman. The circumstances of the birth of PoI-T-010, reasons, places and witnesses are currently unknown, only knowing that she is the result of the union - voluntary or forced - of PoI-T-006 and the daughter of another member of the O5 Council already retired. She currently has the appearance of a red-haired young woman in her twenties. She acts as a Foundation agent and is the heir to A0I-00█ by PoI-T-004 with whom she has eliminated containment-breaking humanoid SCPs. She to date does not appear to have developed any latent abnormal abilities.

"Trying to talk about Argent is difficult, not only because of the strange circumstances of his birth and the even stranger relationship with his family, especially his father. She is so far the only female member of the family without any abnormality, but this is still disputed. Just because she's not anomalous is to be taken lightly; Just to give you an idea, she was directly responsible for an attempted neutralization of SCP-029 and although it wasn't permanent, it goes without saying that it was quite effective at the time."

One thing that researchers are still trying to understand is the way in which some of the latent anomalies in Nepotes Centum seem to be manifested by external elements. An example of this is the quality of acquiring their longevity or immortality by agents other than their latent anomaly: PoI-T-002, PoI-T-003 and PoI-T-004 through the Fountain of Youth that is of use common for O5 Council members; PoI-T-005 thanks to the amulet; PoI-T-006 and PoI-T-007 through experimentation carried out on them activate their longevity properties; PoI-T-009 seems to age more slowly and although PoI-T-008 died, it must be remembered that many immortals are only "long-lived" but can still die a violent death. PoI-T-010 seems to be the only exception but it would not be surprising if he manifested them later either by his will or through an "incident" of an anomalous nature.

The point is that it seems that all members of Nepotes Centum are destined to acquire the anomaly of being more long-lived. Whether this is some kind of abnormal probability manipulation ability is unknown, but there is no doubt that all members eventually acquire some form of "immortality." However it has been confirmed that this only occurs with members within the Bright Family and it is rare to see similar examples from distant blood relatives.

Precognition seems to be another latent ability as well but this one doesn't show up as commonly and it does manifest as a natural anomaly. When one looks at all this then one begins to realize something: All the most common abilities within Nepotes Centum are related to time; either the extension of life or the ability to see the future. We even suspect that PoI-T-002 has some kind of resistance to reality changes and that he actually keeps memories of his self from before this timeline. There is no doubt that this is all related to some kind of anomaly inherited by all members of Nepotes Centum from PoI-T001, who is himself a very complex temporal humanoid anomaly.

Well before we start… Napotes Centum? Really? I know Delta Command loves all the drama with using Latin for their more esoteric files but at least put someone who can speak it in charge. Anyway.

If you are reading this, you have been authorized to read the previous file or you are part of the Project Tifon. Welcome to one of the most frustrating branches of humanoid research. Most likely, you will find it hard to believe the existence of such characters, but - and assuming that your authorization is superior - after knowing what kind of Demi-Gods are part of the O5 Command and the monsters that are part of some of the Foundation Movil Task Forces, you should be used to the irrefutable truth by now: The Foundation has more abominations walking its halls than it has locked away.

But let's get to the important thing: How do we discover the existence of these things? It was all thanks to the straggling member of the Bright Family, the "black sheep" that ended up on our side of the fence. The Bright who was forgotten: Yorick Elroy, or Agent Yorick as he was known to the Foundation or as we called him here in the Insurgency, Operative Yorick.

Yes, thats right: A Bright was part of the Insurgency and it wasn't by accident. I can't give many details, more than anything because it even exceeds your authorization - yes, you're a Gamma level but that's not why Delta Command is going to let you know about its most personal things - but I can tell you the beginning.

Some time ago we had a prodigious Special Operative, a Green Guy who ended up in our ranks at a very young age, almost a pre-adolescent. He eventually left us to work with the GOC, which we considered highly unusual, but when we learned the details of his private life and his relationship with his fiancée, well… there's a whole file if you want to see it and believe me when I tell you that It's not pretty. The fact is that this agent has never lost contact with us, even when he joined the Foundation. It does not mean that he is still on our side, he is simply our "convenience" contact as well as with other GoI like MC&D. And while the bastard is a fucking liar we can't trust, he's still a valuable piece of information when he feels like sending us something that's true.

It was him who recommended Yorick to us. Apparently he was part of the many preceding Insurgency forces - the original MTF not the covert agents - within the Foundation until it eventually became the Red Hand. From his experience he was obviously sent to be part of the Red Shadow, since at that time we didn't know he was a humanoid.

Let me be clear: Yorick was the worst Insurgency agent that ever lived.

It's not that he was incompetent, but he left a lot to be said when the moment of truth arrived, to the point of fleeing or abandoning his companions to their fate. This wouldn't be so bad, if it weren't for him compromising several missions with his actions. The only reason he wasn't finished was because of the information he was giving us as a double agent for the Foundation. He was working his way up the ranks and it was obvious his relationship with the Brights was helping, though as far as we know he wasn't the son of either Adam or Mikell. But he was taking his fucking time and never got to hold a higher position or give out information of a crucial nature. Despite this, he remained in the ranks but was closely watched.

It was around 2016 that he began to establish a certain camaraderie with other members. It was now that the group was formed: Yorick, Agent ██████, that piece of shit Perez and myself. I have already given my testimony of everything I learned about Yorick during that time and you can find the recordings if you want to know more, but here is the summary.

After a couple of years there was some tension between us. At the time, he was a Beta Level researcher so he had no idea what kind of missions Yorick was sent on, but it must have been bad because he was quite affected for a while. The supposed rumors of a love triangle between him, Perez and ██████ did not help, something that I can neither confirm nor deny.

Eventually they all went their own way: I became head of the Occult Department, Perez was "captured" by the Foundation - something he did possibly to get away from all his problems on the Base -, and ██████ came back to Japan to confront his family, the leaders of the remnants of IJAMEA. Yorick didn't end so well. Apparently this happened at the same time that he had had certain quarrels with his family and this led him into a spiral of depression that finally ended with that fateful day in June 2019.

I often wonder if talking to him would have changed anything. But honestly, I also think that if what happened that day hadn't happened, we would never have discovered his relationship with the Brights. DNA sampling is standard procedure for deceased members of the Red Shadow for thus [REDACTED] new releases. It was when we analyzed this to see that it was not contaminated that we found his relationship with the Brights. We wasted no time and sent for Item #██: "████ ██████", we removed his brain and connected it to the machine. Everything was revealed instantly. Possibly the biggest source of Foundation leaks there has ever been, for while he didn't tell us anything about Overseers and major anomalies, he did tell us more about relationships within Foundation personnel.

To this day I wonder if Yorick did this on purpose. Taking into account the circumstances in which we found his body and that he was aware that the Insurgency had means to obtain his memories, it makes me believe that he did all this so that we would all know about his family. Perhaps at the end of his life this was Yorick's way of getting revenge of his family? Although he could not think because: If there is something quite clear, it is that the Bright Family is quite united and serious when it comes to their family matters. Which indicates that whatever happened must have been really bad.

On the other hand, I believe that there is no other way to honor the memory of my former partner than with this project. Thus with the permission of Commander Three and under the supervision of Corneille Kopper, Project Typhoon has begun. Our mission is simple: Seek out, find and recruit - willingly or by force - every straggling member of the Bright Family still out there to join the Insurgency as potential candidates for the Corvus Project.

As a Recruiter you will need to make sure to exploit the weaknesses of these afflicted humanoids, using the information from their origins to convince them to join us. Pitting them against the Brights - and by extension the Foundation - will make it easier for them to be admitted into our ranks.

They say that blood ties are stronger than anything else in the world.

Let's make that blood spill.
