Due to the nature and function of the Market, all IC members are allowed to enter and leave. Since 199█, non-affiliated extremist groups are allowed to enter, provided they have access to amnesic treatment after completing their visit to the market. Being considered a recreational site, there are some places within the Market for sports, reading, therapy or active consumption and sale of Cannabis Anomalis. Any conflict within the market by any individual1, must be neutralized by security forces, this due to the fundamental rule of the place.
The Market also has a memorial hall of fame in the name of all the soldiers of the Corvus forces who lost their lives during the conflicts of 1924 and 1948, however some names have been crossed out for unknown reasons.
History
| Commander One (red circle), along with some members of "The Red Right Hand". |
|---|
In 191█, shortly before the First Insurgency2, Commander One (O5-4 at the time), discovered a place near the US-Mexico border. The place seemed to be invisible to maps and to the eyes of the SCP Foundation itself. After this discovery, Commander One, along with Mobile Task Force Alpha-1 "The Red Right", would create a place to plan their next insurrection against the Foundation. After the Insurrection of 1914, the now Delta Command and part of their followers took refuge in the "Red Site", where they would begin to plan the future of their Insurgency, thanks to the amount of stolen SCPs and new members recruited.

Around 1928, shortly before the Blake Uprising, R. Blake himself rediscovered Site Ω-01. At that time, the site was home to only a small Proto-Insurgency, which after its existence in 1914 had become dormant and weakened. Instead of communicating his discovery to his superiors, Blake began using the site as a hideout for those anomalous seeking to defect from Corvus Ocultus.
During the Blake Uprising, the place was used by Blake's forces as a makeshift base. During that time, Blake and Delta Command became allies. After Blake's defeat and the subsequent disappearance of Blake and his followers, the Site was once again almost empty, except for Delta Command, a few men and a small handful of ex-Corvus Agents.
Following the emergence of the current Insurgency in 1948, the Delta Command began to organize the new group from Site Ω-01. With the beginning of the Cold War, the IC began to grow out of control, not only economically, but also with new assets, and this in turn brought with it new facilities. Soon the majority of the Insurgency began to migrate to these new facilities, and once again "The Cradle of Genesis" was abandoned, only a small Insurgent contingent and the Delta Command remained stationed there, as well as a large part of the Insurgent archives.

In 198█, after the black market was flooded with anomalous merchandise due to the disintegration of Prometheus Labs Inc., the Delta Command (now stationed in █████) decided to name Site Ω-01 as a trading place for the purchase and sale of anomalous products, both external and internal. This in turn facilitated the growth of the Insurgent Cells near the Area.
In 20██, after the reactivation of Corvus, the new Director Corneille Kopper decided to name the Site as a historical place in the history of the IC. For this reason, a commemorative wall was raised in honor of all the insurgent forces and Corvus. Shortly after its inauguration, some names were crossed off the walls.
Although records indicate that Blake has not set foot on MTL soil again, there are some rumors that he has been seen walking around the market in recent years.
