Anomaly of Interest #97 - Levitating Brain
The anomaly was the entire brain and nervous system of Doctor ████ ███, head researcher of Project ████████, which was intended to channel the mental wave emanations of various psychic subjects to use as energy.
Doctor ███ apparently used the process on himself, without authorization from Delta Command. The process failed, leading to a decompression within the test room, which resulted in the destruction of Doctor ███'s body and the anomalous manifestation of his brain and central system floating in the laboratory.
The anomaly had greater than average psychic capabilities, as well as the ability to absorb the memories of any living being present, and its range increased the more memories it acquired. Attack Team "Conscious Insurgents" confronted it at the exit of the Research Wing of Base-7 with orders to bring it in alive.
However, after an hour of confrontation, it was obvious that only lethal force could stop it, so its neutralization was authorized, which led to a collective overload of psychic force by the Team that led to the explosion of the anomaly's gray matter. Its remains were later studied and cremated.
