Usage

The item should be used to identify target, objectives or persons of interest within Base-7.

Any request for the monitoring of the objective targets must be previously authorized by a member of the Administration and Command council, a chief investigator, an Operational Chief or, failing that, the Site/Project Director.

The individuals requested for follow-up and research will be systematically located and identified by cross-checking databases. Due to the physical limitations of the item, it is impossible to guess the location of an individual without a previous record of their sightings. In the same way, the name of the individual, a simple description and the reason for their surveillance must be provided in the application form.

To facilitate the intervention of surveillance systems external to Base-7, the place where the article currently operates. The IT Division of the Corvus Project was authorized to interconnect the article to an isolated and encrypted server. Immediately afterwards, Corvus teams in the field would intervene the CCTV systems and through a backdoor system, they would filter the live signal to the server from which it would be transmitted to the article.

The article is currently focused on locating those responsible for the CC-VH Incident (later explained) during the Attack on Base-7. In the same way, all members of the insurgent personnel who perpetuate civilian casualties or serious breaches of the Code of Conduct will be affected by the anomaly.

The article was used successfully during 2018 and 2019 to write the personal files of the Corvus Project assets, due to the level of information provided, it was decided to widen its use in high-interest objectives.

Report

It is an Anomalous Closed Circuit Television (CCTVA) surveillance system. The system consists of at least ██ cameras (from now on entities) identified which are NOT part of the official surveillance system of Base-7.

Once the entities capture their target, they will begin to maintain constant and intensive monitoring even when the subject notices. If the subject enters areas where there are no security cameras, the article will continue to provide data such as location, recordings and notes about their personality.

After capturing the subjects for 6 hours straight, they will begin to write files as well as summaries about the individual and their most relevant actions, all of which constitute crimes.

After 6 hours, subjects will begin to experience anxiety, paranoia, and a feeling of being watched. The effects will continue for up to 36 hours.

After 36 hours, subjects will become aware of the existence of the item, and the item will increase its pressure by tapping into their devices and even moving all cameras present in their direction. Subjects will also begin to develop hallucinations of cameras and begin to develop depressive traits.

After 48 hours of exposure, instances will appear in personal locations or where there were no cameras a team from the IT division of the Corvus Project will begin to implant cameras and physically tap into systems near any subject who exceeds 48 hours of surveillance.

After 72 hours or more, the subjects will begin to develop hallucinations accompanied by a strong feeling of guilt that will culminate in their death by suicide. All subjects who may be found to be favorable must be treated by psychologists, given amnestics and isolated from any communication system, and assignments in extreme areas will be considered.

Subjects who are otherwise of no interest must be eliminated and investigated for the submission of their death documentation to the article to ensure their loyalty to our cause.

Memorandum regarding the Division and its implications for the Alpha/Delta Command.

Without prior authorization from the Alpha/Delta Command or the leaders of the Corvus Project, a network of unofficial operations carried out by the Information Technology Division1was identified, which through methods of Exploit, Jamming, DDoS and computer backdoor would corrupt the network by posing as agents of The Foundation. Their objective in addition to anonymity, was the creation of an isolated and encrypted system from which they would transmit information from the staff to the article via Virtual-Channelling2 for the identification of "traitors" inside the Insurgency.

We do not know how long the networks were involved, nor to what depth, but we do know that they were the first to find out about the article, and for some reason they decided to keep it quiet, taking advantage of our vulnerabilities to boost their portfolio. After the Backdoor incident, and with the information obtained, the range of influence of the article expanded to the confines of Base 7 and even beyond.

Appendix: First Documentation

It is estimated that the massive appearance of the instances and the first record began on 04/03/20██ when Agent Ramirez ██████ requested a forceful summary against the security chief of Base-7 upon noticing the existence of a security camera inside his room. Subsequent investigations showed that the camera was not connected to the system or the security network. While it had not been built under any direct order from the high command. The camera was destroyed, while the agent was explained that it was a misunderstanding and was subsequently transferred. The agent will be monitored for the next ██ months.

Subsequently, on 05/15/20██, Agent Ramírez again filed a summary, stating that in his work office, a small security camera had been installed in one of the upper corners of the ceiling. Due to the repetition, the agent was investigated. During the investigation, multiple modifications to the insurgent database were found, all of dubious veracity, related to the events of the Attack on Base-7. The Agent used a previously stolen credential from one of the IT members of the insurgent database, Clark Coldwood, who died without an identifiable author, during the events previously described.

The modifications made would be related to the death and post-operation reports of the witnesses who saw Clark Coldwood during the Attack on Base-7. Without a doubt, the agent was captured and interrogated immediately, exercising the Shock Interrogation procedure, to facilitate the obtaining of information.

The camera was removed and this time an inspection was carried out in an attempt to recover its contents or clarify the facts about its origin. The existence of a small black box inside the camera revealed the agent typing in front of his computer incessantly repeating "They must not know" or "I can't do it." The agent was disciplined for modifying the database without authorization and using a credential belonging to a deceased member of the staff. Surveillance on the agent will be extended.

On 06/07/20██ a member of the Command and Coordination team, Nikolai Sokolov, filed a complaint against the director of Base-7 for the installation of multiple cameras without prior notification, including his Personal Office for confidential meetings.

Due to the previous background the event was quickly hidden and those involved investigated. The recovered camera recorded Nikolai Solokov speaking on the phone with who appeared to be Agent Ramirez, stating that the matter had been settled no matter what he was told and that the events of that day would no longer be known to anyone.

During the morning of 07/07/20██. A member of the insurgent database team reported finding at least ██ documents scattered throughout the server room, which dealt with psychological profiles of those involved in Agent Ramirez's operation. To date, not all have been identified. The team member immediately called security upon realizing that the documents were signed by Clark Coldwood.

It was then that the event was classified as a security breach, in an attempt to determine the origin of the anomaly, Dimitri Lambda, was assigned to carry out the respective procedures at the scene of the events to determine the nature of the phenomenon.

During the same day, while reviewing the documents collected with the help of the current database manager, they noticed that the printer next to the auxiliary emergency generator, at the far end of the server room, abruptly began printing warning and danger signals.

Termination system activated, executing cleaning procedures. -5:00 Minutes.

Using a computer connected to the main server, it was possible to identify the origin of the vulnerable electronic traces left by the intrusion. Using geolocation, it was determined that the origin of the signal came from where they were standing. If it were not for the proactive work of Dr. Morales, who personally led a process of identifying the camera system, using drills and multispectral LIDAR sensors, he managed to identify a series of cables that were heading towards the previously described location.

As a result, they were able to identify the existence of a secret room off the central hallway, and below the server room. At least ██ of the more than ████ cameras in the security system, including the different instances of the article, led to it. The room had been blocked off as a remodeling for security measures after the Attack on Base-7.

Due to the seriousness of the situation, Morales and Dimitri went to the place carrying drills and hammers to demolish the wall which led to the room from which the signal originated. Once they managed to knock it down due to the fragile structure of the concrete that had been used, they discovered the existence of a worn red wooden door. Dimitri hit the doorknob with a huge hammer and it gave way.

At the site they would only find what was once an old cleaning room with a worn but functional computer and printer to which the wiring was connected, according to Morales. Dimitri, on the other hand, determined that through the network of printers in the place, he had managed to easily connect to the one in the database server room, above them.

While both were investigating in the place, the printer began to work once again and, given the concerns, Morales warned Dimitri of the event. But due to the lack of training against memetic or cognitohazardous agents, the latter ended up being seriously hospitalized. An interview with Morales of his testimony is attached.

Due to this, the anomaly was catalogued and contained by the Chaos Insurgency, to be used again in the search for traitors and personnel who have information related to the Attack on Base-7.

Update: To date, ██ new cameras have been registered in the surveillance system of the anomaly.
